Privacy

What Townstyle collects, why, and who else sees it. Short, because we collect little.

01

What we collect

Account: your email address, and a password we never see in readable form.

Orders: what you bought, from which shop, the amount, and the pickup code.

Location: if you allow it, your approximate position, used only to sort listings by distance in your browser. We do not store it.

Shops: shop name, pickup address, and coordinates, all of which are public by design.

02

What we never hold

Card numbers and bank details. Those go directly to Stripe, who is regulated to hold them. We only ever see the last four digits of a card, and only on a receipt.

03

Who else sees it

The shop you buy from sees your first name, the items, and the pickup code — and a delivery address only if you chose delivery.

Stripe processes payments and payouts. Supabase hosts the database. Vercel serves the site. Each is bound by its own agreement and none may use your data for their own purposes.

We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers.

04

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax and dispute rules require — generally seven years. Delete your account and we remove your profile and stop contacting you, but the financial record of completed orders remains.

05

Your choices

You can see your orders and details in your account area, correct them, and ask us to delete your account. Location access can be revoked in your browser at any time; search then falls back to a default area.

06

Security

Everything travels over HTTPS and is encrypted at rest. Access to your records is enforced at the database level, so one account cannot read another's orders. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you.

In plain words

We hold your email, your orders, and nothing else of consequence. Cards and bank details live with Stripe. Nothing is sold, and nothing is tracked for advertising.
